So why all the names for one little dog? This one has been in several homes…on the trail to rescue. Right now he is called Frosty …even though he does not come to this name or any of the above…we are working on it. LOL. Frosty has recovered from his accident with the truck….the only lingering problem is slight nerve damage to his tail. He no longer has the “signature” Eskie tail curl. It hangs down now, but the vet says there is no problem with this turn of events. Meanwhile, he has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, a tick born ilness that is quite prevalent here in Northern Minnesota. Just one week after his Lyme Vaccination…the symptoms appeared and were very frightening. First he began to have temperment changes, nipping at visitors and then one morning he could barely move. He limped with his right forepaw up….and was in great pain. Another trip to the vet for pain meds and antibiotics. Within 24 hours he was back on all fours and seemed to be recovered. He will be on antibiotics for four more weeks. His temperment is still iffy.

Hi Michelle, I have lyme myself and LOVE ANIMALS, in fact I work with my sister’s pet-sitting business part-time. Give my love to Snowflake and my prayers are with him for a full recovery…poor little guy:-(
